I think this is an urban legend, but I've heard it
referenced in alot of popular
sources (Beverly Hills Cop) and quoted a number of
times:

"The average 55 year-old American male has 5 lbs of
undigested red meat in his
colon."

It seems to me there is no way that can possibly be
true.  But I searched Google
and could find no references specifically refuting it.
 I thought someone on
this list could help me find one.
