From what I understand, methyltestosterone, the kind most commonly
prescribed, will do this. Did you have any concomitant increase in appetite
that went along with the weight gain?

I began taking 1 mg. natural testosterone (USP, compounded) one week shy of
2 months ago. I haven't had any change in libido, so am going to give 2 mg
a try. I wouldn't mind being sex-obssessed. <g> I did think that I noticed
an increase in appetite, but every year, right on schedule, my appetite and
eating always shoot up in Oct., so I don't know if the test was responsible
for a 2# gain or not, and since I also ate off-paleo and mega cals at
Thanksgiving.

Began seriously looking at my diet 6 days ago, keeping a food diary again
and tracking cals/pro/fat/carbs. I'm down 3#. Don't think it's much water
weight since I stay pretty carb conscious, even in the absence of exact
counts. I figure I'm one of those paleo people for whom calories, at least
for weight loss, do count. I haven't really lost any weight in just over 7
mo. of paleo eating, but the really amazing thing is that I haven't really
gained any (save for the 2 mentioned above)--or A LOT. When I really
started looking at how many high calorie paleo foods (mainly nuts) I had
been eating in addition to other foods, I figure I've probably been
consuming maybe several thousand calories a day!

I bought a really neat digital food scale--which weighs in 1/8th oz/ 1 gm
increments--to make every bite accountable. The laborious, time-consuming
part is looking up every danged bite--which brings me to ask Oliva what the
name of the program is that she uses.
