Amadeus, do you have any evidence that fat isn't continuously broken
down and rebuilt in the brain, at least in some amounts? I am personally
not aware of whether this is the case or not, but you seem to be
stating that it isn't. With other tissues this is (the body breaks
down and rebuilds something on the order of 1 pound of protein per day).
Please don't site regular adipose tissue as example - it isn't comparable
to the fat in the brain (regular fat cells are there to STORE fat,
so you wouldn't have much of a reason to break it down all the time unless
you are burning fat. Brain fat is there mostly for structural reasons.
If brain fat gets damaged somehow, say by free radicals, I would expect
it to be removed and replaced with an undamaged molecule).
