About 25% of the meat in my diet is kangaroo meat. Costs me $AU 6.85kg.

If you are interested in the nutritional, culinary, environmental and
economic aspects of the industry, there is lots of info at
http://www.kangaroo-industry.asn.au/index.html including a 20-page Adobe
document (which is a bit slow to download, but worth the wait).

When I go for a run around Mt Ainslie - half a km from my home - I often
run through herds of up to 30 kangaroos and I see kangaroos within 100
metres every morning and evening run. These are Eastern Grey Kangaroos,
whose flesh is stronger in flavour than the Red Kangaroo of the desert.
