Hello Sara
Somethings wonderful is going on in your body even if you don't like it.
Your body is giving you morning sickness to stop you from eating during the
time when your baby's body is developing its organs. If you are in
reasonable shape when starting the pregnancy there is no reason to worry for
instance about not getting enough calories. Neither you nor the baby needs
those calories at this time but your baby needs to be protected from harmful
substances that you, its mother might eat if you felt good about eating. And
we have no reason to believe that hunter/gatherer women are not experiencing
morning sickness.
