My dear friend is an IBCLC (lacation consultant) who has just returned from
a conference in Acapulco. She attended a seminar (hosted by LLL or OKA or
something) where she learned that the AAP is talking about changing their
recommendations regarding intorduction of solids to infants. They are
starting to recognize that meat is a terrific first food, and that infants
need more protein than carbs. This is a big step in the right direction.
