Stacie Tolen mentioned a source of gluten: alcohol-preserved vanilla
extract.

You can get vanilla, almond, and maple extracts (as well as many others) in
a non-alcohol, glycerine base,  health food stores or by mail order from
Frontier or Now brand or the Spicery Shop.
