I am sorry that you think this way and feel this way. Maybe you need to
spend some time on the eating disorders unit of a psychiatric hospital...or
maybe on the web looking up sites encouraging women to starve
themselves...or maybe looking up sites that teach young women to binge and
purge...or sit with someone who has been sexually abused and they eat and
eat and eat so that they become fat and ugly in order to ward off potential
perpetrators...go spend some time at an OA meeting listening to those people
who can not make it one day without overeating sugar foods as you suggested
they so for several weeks. That IS the point...people who are addicted can
not make it the several weeks you are talking about in order to break the
addictive, metabolic cycle. Addictive behaviors are cyclical in nature.

I agree it is easier to stay away from sugar-type substances once they are
out of ones system. But I do not think anyone has a right to judge others
for there emotional and spiritual needs which lead them to partake in their
substance of choice whether it be pot, alcohol, sex, or sugar. I suppose I
can not sit still for those judging other's lives until they have walked in
their shoes.

thanks, toni
