>1. Is it possilbe to dehydrate ground meat? Any suggestions how?

If possible, try to get ground buffalo or venison, and mix some seasoning
(salt, pepper, ground juniper berries, marjoram, whatever you like) well
into the meat before drying. For some reason, dried ground meat has a
distinctly different flavor and texture than dried slices of meat. When I
made a batch without seasoning, "dog food" came to mind. Yuck.
