I don't see how that's clear ...  if they're hunting and gathering they  
have to get out there and hunt and gather, walking and running all over  
the place, and moving their households around to follow the food.  If  
they're farming, they don't move their households around, they don't get  
out and hunt as much, and they don't have to wander any further than their  
garden plot to gather.   I have a good sized garden and greenhouse that I  
tend all year long without any mechanized equipment (including a water  
pump -- I carry the water in buckets), and I don't consider it  
particularly strenuous.
