Medias are just a merchandise that consumers have the power to buy or not.
I don't listen to radios or TVs or read news paper and magazines for many
years and that decison contributed a good deal in me having an original
outlook on life base on 1st hand experiences.
Recently during my visit to Toronto and for the 1rst time since 9 years
living in Canada i got curious to know what north american Tvs had to
propose.( City life is boring ) I have to recognise that in few days ,i got
so overwhelmed by the
amount of useless and irrelevant informations that i had to talk about it
like if i could have opinions on something that i didn't even experienced.
Since i am on the net i can see that i am very susceptible to just parrot
informations that comes my way ...
so thanks for the reminder!

I follow you!
So what makes a paleo consumer to not question radically the fondamentals
of an unhealthy diet : (the quality of the food ) ?
are the medias spreading a message that the only way to feed humanity is
to mass produce cheap foods , to monoculture ( Wheat or beef) to
whip exhausted soils with artificials stimulants . To genetically create
monster plants ,animals ? ...
If paleo eaters are not going to radically question ( in action not in
words) the validity of thoses assertions , who are going to ?

I can see the praticality of starting a paleo adventure with reformed mac
do's , it will be foolish to expect much results in staying there.

with the gift of a new awareness comes the responsibility of deepening it .
I learned p[ainfully , first hand, that by resting on my laurels , i
could not maintain an healthy trend .( i slipped back off instinctive eating
2 years ago for few days) You are right , the potential power of ambiant
collective thoughts ( expressed by the medias) on individuals is big but
never as great than the power of one own's inertia or fear to change.
The power is, in definitive, allways in the hands of each ones of us even
and especially when we give it away to merchants Of dreams ( like the one
that mac donald corporation is selling : the dream of cheap quick foods )
Cheap foods have a price that is collectively paid big time.!
