A researcher recently did a survey in Great Britain and calculated
that
domestic cats in that country kill over a billion birds per year (
imagine
in the U.S. or China).  Feral domestic cats have also caused the
extinction
of several species of animals world-wide.

Makes me and my hawk look like real pussycats ;).
