Hello listers

Does anyone have an idea what sort of herbs could be applied to a wound
on a hand that has been hurt 3 days ago and is still bleeding? Not me
fortunately but someone of another list I'm member of.
No sign of infection, the finger was hurt while putting up a curtainpole
or something.
Any advice welcome.
