Except that it seems to contradict other things I have read. The
average height in the US is 5'10", but the average among late teens now
is over six foot. I was tall as a young man, but am now only average.

He also says young Japanese now match Americans. Certainly not true, by
personal observation. High school age Japanese are much taller than
their parents on average, but nowhere near Americans yet.
