It is becoming increasingly difficult to find wild shrimp. Costco is
no longer carrying Northern Chef's Wild Baja Shrimp. Kroger
supposedly carries wild shrimp, but no Krogers in my part of the
country. Trader Joe's sometimes has wild blue shrimp. Sometimes it
has the cheaper wild red shrimp from Argentina. The last time I was
there a few weeks ago they had none. Instead that had Chilean
langostinos. I need to pay a visit and see what they have now. Anyone
been to one recently and looked for shrimp?

As an alternative I have found: http://www.wholey.com/lategush36co.html
In quantity that is $11/lb with free shipping. Not bad. But those
have full shells, and I prefer shelled. Click Shrimp above and there
is a much more expensive peeled and deveined in the jumbo size. I
don't see a reason to pay a premium for such a large size.

They also have farm raised alligator tail meat:

I called to ask what the alligators are fed. He did not know. He
directed me to the supplier:

I called and they couldn't find the Wholey salesman. I left a message.

And wild turtle meat: http://www.wholey.com/turtle.html

I would consider turtle to be very paleo. They are easy to catch. And
long ago we learned how to smash open bones and skulls.

I've had turtle meat in the Caribbean. I definitely want to buy some of this.

Don.
