Actually not true in many cases.  The "Roundup-Ready" corn and soybeans
allow
the farmer to use so much Roundup that it would kill non-GM varieties.

The widespread use of Bt-modified plant varieties will cause the insects to
develop resistance, which will be a big problem for organic growers who
apply it cautiously for cabbage worm, etc.

IMHO: don't believe the "wonders" of GM crops as promoted by companies that
stand to make a fortune if they are adopted.
