Didn't want to keep this topic alive, but wanted to add my $0.02 here (in the
hopes that it will actually help put an end to this). I am half jew. I have
been in a number of fights in my life where people were trying to beat me up
for being a half jew. I and my dad (the jewish part of my ancestry) have experienced
anti-semitism first hand in rather harsh ways in Russia. Yet I was NOT offended
by the original story. I took it just as a story that did have relevance to
this list. If somebody was offended that was unfortunate, but remember that
your own attitudes might be responsible for that. (Not saying whoever got
offended was wrong or right to get offended, just that this is a matter where
people can legitimately feel differently about it). Given that, can we please
stop getting all huffy about it and drop the subject please? Talking about
this is definitely off subject and at best can be considered a necessary
evil to prevent a reoccurence, at worst - needless flaming.

Thank you
Ilya
