What does that mean, Marilyn?
You have just repeated that *dietary* cholesterol doesn't contribute to
Blood Cholesterol levels (low or high intake).

Framingham emphasises the importance of HDL cholesterol as a beneficial
factor.
But nevertheless total cholesterol, also in Framingham *does* show a
correlation to heart "incidences".
(See the Graphic "HDL predictive value" in
http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/412969_4 - Or in Google cache
More total cholesterol does increase incidences')

What would you say about *blood* cholesterol levels, do you think
they aren't a major risc factor?

I wanted to point out the importance of blood cholesterol, and
speculated what may cause *this*.

The good news is that you don't have to worry about dietary cholesterol
intake. But it may be, that the same food items high dietary cholesterol
may be likely to increase blood cholesterol by other reasons.
Like low EFAs and wrong EFA ratios.
This "cholesterol myth" stuff could leave a false feeling of security
as long as the real culprit, responsible for increased *blood* cholesterol
isn't identified.
