i came across this the other day, and thought this group might appreciate
it:

in thinking about such things, i began to wonder what the "paleo
perspective" on using plants as medicine is. i have used an extract of saint
john's wort as an effective antidepressant, and skullcap and valerian as a
pain reliever. comfry and honey has healed several wounds. how do y'all
integrate theraputic plant use with the paleo diet? i'm more interested in
the philosophic answer than the practical one, since i tend to take a very
pragmatic approach to health anyway.
