Nobody here has said that humans should not eat vegetation... what "we"
do say is that only certain types of vegetation are proper, natural food
for humans. It's clear, beyond any reasonable argument, that our bodies
are not suited to eating grains without the use of technology. While
there may be a little more room for argument about things like legumes
and some tubers, there are plenty of other unquestionably "paleo legal"
foods in any environment inhabited by humans, that no theory of a natural
human diet needs to include them.

The "bottom line" here is that "paleo" WORKS as predicted by Ray Audette
and other authorities. Of course some might say that it's just because
it happens to work out as lowcarb (possibly an even more controversial
way of eating than paleo), but that wouldn't fully explain the health
benefits experienced by paleo eaters who do not restrict fruits and
vegetables to the point of a very low carbohydrate intake.
