<< Michele,
please get Loren Cordain's book Paleo Diet- it's just been released. he is
the world's leading expert on paleo diets and is also a very renowned
nutritionist in general nutrition. The blood group diet has a lot of holes
in it to say the least, and hasn't really kept up with progress in lectin
research in my humble opinion. Also, the group O diet is not as accurate as
the Paleo Diet.

Don't forget- Protein Power- Eades- the Dr's Eades are great admirers of
Cordain's work. Atkins- say his diet is man's original diet, but is far from
it. >>

Cordain is definitely ONE of the world's leading experts on Paleo diets, but
there are certainly dissenting points of view. Cordain is one who tends to
lean towards the "lower fat, leaner protein" end of the spectrum. I'm sure
the debate will rage on for a long time to come, and I am just suggesting a
balanced perspective on this issue would be worthwhile. The following is a ver
y interesting discussion of how much and what kinds of fats may have made up
the Paleo diet.

Cuisine</A>

Also, it is the Eades' latest book, The Protein Power LifePlan, not their
earlier book, Protein Power, which is the very thorough discussion of the
Paleo lifestyle.

And here is an excellent review of D'Adamo Blood Type book.

I find it quite less than amusing that he suggests that Type A's should lean
towards vegetarianism, and eat lots of grains, since I am Type A, and happen
to have Celiac Disease. I nearly killed myself trying to be a vegetarian for
over 20 years. Am I the only exception to his fundamental rule? I highly
doubt it!
