Cod liver oil contains significant quantities of DHA and EPA, daughter
compounds of omega-3 fatty acids. Cod liver oil is a good source for EFA
supplementation, but one must be aware of the potential for overdosing on
Vitamins A and D. A couple teaspoons of cod liver oil daily would be a safe
level of supplementation.
