Ha! Can really relate to that. I was in a similar situation until I
organized all the info. floating around in my head. For what it's
worth, I use Ray's Neanderthin as my "Bible" and try to incorporate "The
Zone", "Eat Right for Your Blood Type" and "The Omega Plan" into it.
Seems to be working very well for me and is not as complicated as it
sounds. But to remember what I should and should not eat I have done
the following:

I took several sheets of engineering paper, divided it into two columns
and wrote down the acceptable foods from Ray's list on the left side,
then flushed it out with additional items from "Eat Right for Your Blood
Type"and "The Zone", finally adding tips re. acceptable fats from "The
Omega Plan". I ended up with a large group of foods that I can eat
listed under headings: Meat, Seafood, Eggs & Dairy, Oils & Fats, Nuts &
Seeds, Beans & Legumes, Cereals, Breads & Muffins, Grains & Pasta,
Vegetables, Fruits, Juices & Fluids, Spices, Condiments, Herbal Teas,
Misc. Beverage, Other. In the right column next to ea. heading, I
wrote the foods to avoid like poison. If a food was on one author's
list and not on anothers, which appears to be the problem you are having
, I chose to go with Neanderthin in most cases. I do think that my type
A blood allows me a little latitude re. wild rice, buckwheat, etc. but
modern foods are kept to a minimum and I don't allow any processed foods
, sugar, milk, etc. regardless of what some authors say. When in doubt,
stick with Ray!

As you can imagine, some of the headings (borrowed from "Eat Right....."
) have little or no entries. Meat, veggies, fruit, nuts, seeds, fats
have a lot of entries.

I put the list in acetate (?) see-through covers and keep them in the
kitchen where they are my resource for grocery store lists. I need this
system because I just can't remember everything and don't want to spend
too long in the grocery store naked with my sharp stick, on my scooter
and with my service dog (not a pretty picture).
