I'd like to know that too. I believe I've read that it's something that
all people experience, but presents a problem for diabetics and
pre-diabetics (i.e., anyone with impaired glucose metabolism), but I
can't remember where I read it. So I could be imagining that I read
it. It does make sense, however, from an evolutionary standpoint, that
this would be part of our circadian rhythm: a morning surge of glucose
so that the brain is sharp upon awakening and the muscles are ready for
action.
