There is a guy, Joe Friel, whom Cordain mentions in his book, who works
extensively and writes books for athletes in sports such as running and
cycling at the highest levels. I've known about his coaching skills for
years, but only in Cordain's book did I hear of his Paleo conversion. I'm
sure he would have excellent advice for this amateur. I have had the same
problems trying to convince my bike racing friends to stop carbo-loading or
drinking sugar during events. I know Friel is approachable, but haven't an
address. I believe he works at CSU, though.
