If you look around you, you will see that the "standard lifestyle
changes" are useless.

It's not just "previous diets". If your previous LIFESTYLE was,
in effect, being in constant (24/7/365 for years) training as a couch
potato, of course there will be lasting damage.

Art DeVany explained recently how permanent damage can be 
done at the level of the individual's genome by a single 
modern high-carb meal. He was discussing the importance of
