I tried it the other way -- split routines -- with exactly the
same results, so I can't say from my own experience that one way
is superior.  The basic principle is that a given muscle group
gets trained every four days.  And as I've said, I *have* been
very successful in gaining LBM this way, regardless of whether I
do whole-body or split routines.

What I'm not hearing so far is a good reason not to drop back to
one such workout per week, while adding some other form of
exercise for fat-burning.
