>>Vegetarians usually do have good
>>health, and tend to outlive their carnivorous niehbors.
====================

I was a vegetarian for 13 years. It is a misconception that vegetarians are
healthier than anyone else because we assume that the diet is based on
vegetables. In this day and age, unfortunately it is not something we can
assume. Veggies can eat anything that doesn't have meat or meat derivatives
in it. With the selections in the typical food market, this means items
like cookies, candy, boxed macaroni and cheese can all be consumed.

I loved vegetables! I loved cookies! I loved chips and sour cream! I was
not alone in this type of "veggie" diet, many of my friends were eating as
non meat version of SAD. So when we speak of meat eaters verses vegetarians
and the resulting health....we cannot assume that each group is eating a
pure diet based on a heavy consumption of meat or purely of vegetables!

Another reminder.....America has introduced SAD all over the world. Even
in my country we have McDonalds, Burger King and the world is eagerly eating
the western way. Soon, we will not be able to say that the French or the
Chinese eat a healthy diet. Soon, only those seeking a specific diet such
as paleo will be eating naturally.
