Now isn't this the truth! I used to take all kinds of discomforts for
granted as just part of life. I never used to think I had many headaches
compared to other people, only 2-3 a month. I've had exactly 1 headache
since going paleo almost 8 months ago, and didn't even have to take an Advil
for it. And, OMG, the bowel/gas problems I used to have are
all.....<g>.....rectified. I really have come to realize that pain/chronic
discomfort is *not* normal at all. Never had a single fall allergy problem
this year, either. Add to this a plus that all my lab/chemistry profiles
are normal. And one of the most incredible surprises has been the stability
of good mood. For most of my life I was plagued with low-mood or depression
problems that would just seemingly crop up from out of nowhere and couldn't
be linked to any particular life situation. Never could figure it out.
Diet makes all the difference in the world.

LOL....Last night I overheard my husband on the phone telling a family
member that I was on a paleo diet. I heard him try to answer an obvious
"What's that?" with, "She eats meat.....and greens......and meat......and
fish." (Really, folks, I eat more vegetables than just greens, and he
didn't mention what I don't eat.) But it really is kind of hard for people
to grasp the diet, I think, because it's so darned simple that, evolutionary
concepts aside, they don't understand how radically different it is from
their own SAD diet.
