Hi everyone

I have been lurking for quite a while and couldn't resist responding.

I am 28 years old, live in Australia, and have been following the paleo way
of eating for approx eight months. Previously I was a devoted
macrobiotic/vegan. I perservered for over two years, but was finally led to
the paleo way of eating after developing type 1 diabetes, which the macro
way of life seemed to hinder rather than help. I never felt healthy, full
of life, which at my age I assumed I should. Even though the vegan
lifestyle seemed to make so much sense, seemed the most natural way of
eating, the most healthy, I am glad that I pursued other options and have
since discovered that it is not. Introducing meat back into my diet was
very hard, for lots of reasons, but I would also say that cutting out
grains and bread was equally hard. But I did it and I feel the best I have
felt ny whole life. I am still a diabetic but at least it is much, much
easier to manage!

It is great to feel confident and happy about what I am eating, and feel
great at the same time.

Bye and thankyou for so much useful information.
