My impression with reading some of this stuff I posted was that the use of 
bones as a buffer is a minor component to ph homeostasis and which has been 
blown out of proportion by people who are trying to sell books. Afterall, 
reasonably healthy people are constantly replenishing their bodies with 
nutrients, right? It's when someone is seriously sick that this can become 
problematic.
