Learned what? How to continuously run in evasive circles
while belaboring an issue to death? ;-) Seriously though,
given Amadeus's long record in this regard I can see how
somebody might get a bit exasperated and have a need to vent
a little. Personal attacks are always unfortunate especially
if they go overboard but I do feel a little more tolerance and
balance on this issue is called for. Had Amadeus been posting
on the list in his customary obfuscating style while the original
list owner was running a tighter paleo ship, Amadeus would
have been digitally terminated if not cyber lynched a long time
ago. The list is more tolerant these days which is a good thing
but with a too permissive and laid back attitude, it risks
getting watered down to the point of loosing its purpose and
uniqueness. Amadeus seems like a nice and well-meaning man
but I am hardly the only person who at this point deletes most
of his postings unread and wishes that the list demanded
higher standards of accountability for its contributors.

Relurking...

Peter
