My apologizes if this link has already been posted since I haven't
been able to read the list very consistently over the last several
weeks. I thought, however, that some of you might be interested in
the proceedings of "The Great Nutrition Debate," hosted by the
Department of Agriculture on February 24, 2000. Presenters at the
debate included:

DR. MORRISON C. BETHEA
DR. KEITH-THOMAS AYOOB
DR. DENISE C. BRUNER
DR. JOHN MCDOUGALL
DR. DEAN ORNISH

The complete written transcript, as well as an audio/video file of
the proceedings can be found at
http://www.usda.gov/cnpp/. I haven't listened to it yet, so I can't
comment on the "tone" of the debate, although I was glad to see at
least Dr. Sears and Dr Atkins included. I guess Ray and Doctors
Eaton,  Eades, Enig or Cordain would have been too much to hope for.
