Hilary,  I  believe natural diets contain far more fat that we  care to
think when we want to lose weight now. The only snag I  see is  that the
native Americans described in this article had a lot more physical
excercise then we do. Even the fanatics amongst us that workout on a
daily bases are still not hunting and fighting for dear life, so maybe
that could be the difference.
We have talked about getting up a camp Paleo-style a few  times over the
years.  I for one woud be very interested to see that if I had to work
most of the day for my food and shelter Paleo-style how things would go.
 I suppose I would be able to eat fat foods, be in sync with the daily
cycle and feel pretty good about it.  Remember,  I come from Europe
where you cannot camp wild and hunt to give it a try.
Jean-Claude used to have good results  with it. He seemed to eat just
about anything and was fit and healthy as ever.  Is anyone in contact
with him?
After  my pc crash all addresses were lost.
