R > Why?  In terms of calories, they're twice as dense as carbs or protein, so you don't need as much to overdo it.  Eating fats alone would indeed be pretty hard, but adorning other foods with extra fats is common.

Same problem.  You're talking general population.  For the low carbers, it's hard to overdo fat.  Let's use an example.  Say you eat your 100 grams of protein in the form of fat free chicken breast.  To make up the rest of the day's calories, you'd have to consume a 1 1/4 cups of fat.  That's not easy for me.
