Hi, William. I had an inkling you'd have something to say as I was keying that. Of course our
experience is not worthless, nor is someone else's experience. It is just not a good basis for
refuting arguments that Loren makes based on epidemiology or biochemistry. The reason I made
my point is that I have watched Loren's work attacked in a nit-picking way since he wrote the
Paleo Diet by people who don't bind themselves to his standards. People who do this can easily
score cheap points and then disappear from view. Loren's stuff is out there for all time. I'm sure he
would delight in criticisms, but let's make those critcisms either equally well-referenced (or
logically explicit if logic is the basis of the criticism), or do what Loren and his collaborators do:
for example, cut up a few carcases, weigh the components and analyze their composition.

A couple of of the most common phrases on this list are something like "I forget where I read it,
but..." and "someone mentioned on this list a while back..." Loren doesn't have the luxury of
jumping in with an opinion on such a relatively flimsy basis.

Anyway, let's get back on topic. Let's here some more opinions of the article. What are we going
to do with it? I have an annual medical checkup next week and I'll give my doctor a copy. I'm
sending a copy, too, to an acquaintance who is medical director of the National Heart Foundation.
I'll be weaving information from it into an article I've been invited to write for a national newspaper
and also into a talk I'll be giving on Evolutionary Fitness to a group of 60+ year olds. I have
already sent a copy to my son who's studying medicine interstate.

Keith
