>Good point, but ... Thomas Watson: isn't he the founder of IBM

Tom Watson, Sr. founded IBM and only hired young men who dressed alike, sang
uplifting, motivational songs ea. morning at work, etc. Tom Watson, Jr.
departed from his father's style and realized the need for diversity.

Re. children and paleo: I raised my son fairly close to paleo without
knowing what it was. Scott used to come home from grade school and prepare
a huge tossed salad for himself, a piece of fruit and beef jerky sticks. No
pop, no candy, etc. We heated our newly build house with wood that Scott
began chopping at about 8 y/o.  No problem with keeping him on a good diet;
when he went to parties and ate sugar he didn't feel well afterwards and
knew that junk food made him sick.

When he went away to college, he digressed from healthy food and joined his
frat brothers in pizza, pop, beer, etc. Now that he's out of college and
law school, he has gone back to a very healthy diet, in fact, he's gone
almost totally paleo! My elderly parents have gone paleo - Mom has made it
all the way and Dad is still sneaking out and buying cookies. One of my
brothers has become almost paleo and slowly but surely some of my friends
are leaning our way. My best friend has been a vegetarian all her adult
life and has just borrowed my copy of Neanderthin and is seriously
considering switching.

All this has happened around me because people have seen the progress I've
made. So, I'm trying not to preach...just to lead by example. It's
working.
