>What is your water source?

Since Aug 2000 we have had "city" water. (For 20 years before that, well
water, which we had tested.) Our water comes from Greers Ferry Lake, a
reservoir dammed on the Little Red River. The Little Red is a cold river,
excellent trout fishing. Back in '80, when we moved here, the lake was
listed in the top ten cleanest lakes in the U.S. Don't know how it ranks
now.

Our pipes here at home are PVC. Based on Frederick's post, I just asked
husband what kind of pipes the "city" used to bring water to us and our
neighbors. He says PVC. But, he pointed out, the water towers themselves
are metal.
