I have just bought some bee pollen - and tasted it for the first time.
It has a mild but somewhat strange taste - like the smell of flowers (as one would expect) ; it is not sweet. Chewing it gives a "floury" feeling in the mouth.
I find bee-pollen aesthetically appealing in many ways - but as a food I havent quite made up my mind yet .

Does anyone have any comments / experience on eating bee-pollen ?

Any recipes with bee-pollen as an ingredient ?

Can it be cooked ? - can you make a hot drink with it ?

How is it best stored (in the refrigerator?)

What do you think of the many alleged health benifits ?

Can it be harmful in any way ? (allergy, digestability?, toxicity?)
