Grass finished means the cow has never been fed grains up to when it
was slaughtered. In the US people are so used to the taste of cows
that have been feed grains, that while the producers may start the
cows on pasture, they fed them grains near the end of their life.

Even organic non-GMO grains mess up the cow's digestive system. Then
you have the E. coli contamination problem when the cow is slaughtered.

So organic cows are not paleo if they are fed any grains.

Here is a little slogan to remember: "Green is good." Omega 3s come
from green. Wild fish are healthy for us, as in the water the food
chains starts with algae and seaweed. It then works its way up the
food chain. Omega 6s come from seeds. There are no seeds in the ocean.

Humans did not evolve as seed eaters. But growing seeds requires very
little labor, and hence are cheap to produce and profitable to sell.

You don't need anything to soak up the sauces. You put the food in a
bowl and use a spoon. Think of it as a stew. Some people rice
cauliflower and pretend it is rice.

While brown rice does have more nutrients than white rice, it also
has more anti-nutrients. It has the bran. That is where the phytic
acid is. Phytic acid combines with minerals eaten in the same meal,
and then the minerals are poorly absorbed.

All seeds have anti-nutrients. They have to. Otherwise they would be
desirable food for animals. As seeds are key to the reproductive
strategy of most plants, if the animals ate all the seeds the plant
would no longer be able to reproduce.

Nuts also have some phytic acid, but they use hard shells to protect
their reproductive cycle. The harder the shell the less
anti-nutrients. The brown layer covering seeds and nuts is the bran.
Macadamia nuts have no layer. Instead they have real hard shells. For
almonds you can get them blanched. A convenient way to get them
without the bran.

Now nuts are a form of seed. They are going to be higher in Omega 6s
than 3s. So you do not want to live on a diet of only nuts.
