You prefer the myth of regress, then?  8-P  

Seriously, whenever anyone says "in every way" it cannot be 
anything but dogma.  Nothing in this Universe is superior to 
anything else In Every Way. 

I concede that the myth of progress is little but a modern
human conceit.  But I also believe that the nobility of the 
savage is little but a naive reaction to the former.  Humans
are imperfect beings and always have been.  Mostly, today,
we're just imperfect on a grander and more tragic stage.
