The important difference is not that the coffe is filtered, but that
the time of contact between water and coffe beans is short when you
use the filter brewing method. The worst way is to boil the water and
beans together, and then let it stay together and heat over and over
again for each coffe pause during the day.
In a short contact time more of the things that cause high colesterol
are transferred to the water.
