PBDEs, added to computer plastics, carpet padding, furniture and other
household products, can cause learning, behavioral and other deficits in
laboratory animals. For humans, draw your own conclusions.

Analysis of human breastmilk in the US has found PBDEs in every sample:

Of relevance to us is the writer's claim that she had relatively high PBDE
levels, despite eating organic food, exercising and leading an active life.
