I don't think that is a necessary step! Just helps to get clearer ice.
It was funny though. I tried the coke can method, but it takes a LONG
time to get a good polish on the can. I got bored after about ten
minutes and quit. maybe I will do it a little at a time. That can has
been sitting undrunk on my shelf for about six months, it will probably
still be there next year.
