True, but the other list, on which that discussion is still taking place,
doesn't tend to think in terms of carbohydrates, and that would further
confuse the issue, I suspect.

But it's obvious from this exchange that in my attempt to not "name names,"
I didn't make it clear that the frustration I was feeling was not towards
this list at all.

It's a rare list these days where the folks on it really do thoroughly read
the posts to which they are responding, have some idea about the list topic
before jumping in with opinions, etc. This happens to be one of them. And
the day I wrote my "thank you" email, that has branded me as intolerant,
was one in which half the email I got was from this list and the other half
was from a far less... thought-full list and the difference was striking,
hence my need to express my gratitude towards this one, and my frustration
with the other one. I had no idea that anyone would take something that
started out "thank you" and take it as an insult. Then again, I guess I'm
rather spoiled by the lack of that sort of thing here that I didn't re-read
the email several times before hitting the SEND button.

So, for any of you that felt I was talking about any of you in my rant, my
apologies, I meant the exact opposite.

And yes, when I run into someone who will insist the moon is made of green
cheese (and insist on debating it), no matter what anyone else says or what
evidence/references are presented, I can get frustrated. That doesn't mean
I stop listening nor become "unteachable," but I do get frustrated.
