Jennifer,

I keep many of the plants mentioned on the very nice link Oliva posted.
Most are easy-care. I just water 'em and add a few houseplant spikes or
some compost tea every once in a while, give them whatever light or
shade they need, and most have been with me for over 20 years. Aloe,
schefflera, dieffenbachia, philodendron, english ivy. The ivy, philo,
and schefflera were very easy to take cuttings from and start whole new
plants. (I just had to bushwhack recently--my husband strung lights on
the aloe and used it as his Christmas tree last year!)

I researched many nice air purifiers a few years ago. I don't know
what's new on the market, but I got the Jenn-Air Silent Air 2000 (They
called it the "Clearveil 250", I think, back when I bought it. But I
just call him "Clarence.":-)
