This is somewhat off topic for this list, so I'll just give a brief answer:
dogs/wolves fed a species appropriate raw diet should have the beneficial
gut bacteria that can deal with it.  A kibble fed animal may need some
supplementation to get his gut "up to speed."

Just think about wolves hunting, killing, eating prey...then burying the
leftovers and coming back to dig them up an eat them days later.  No
problem.
