My reply:
Dark meat is rich in zinc, which is an essential nutrient; however, if you
are eating grain fed meat, avoiding the skin (which is the fatties part) and
eating more breast and less dark meat, helps you avoid excess omega 6 fatty
acids. If you're using breast meat, you'll want to cook or consume it with
some healthy fats or oils to moisten it and give it more flavor.

My husband and I eat (and advocate eating) dark meat poultry.  We eat plenty
of it.... We just buy 100% or mostly pasture raised poultry. Qaulity and
context must be considered.
