My company did a free blood screening the other day. The blood was drawn
after fasting 12 hours. All I had had that morning was water:

LDL Cholesterol         123             <130

I got out 'The Rosedale Diet' and looked up what he has to say about
triglycerides since his book has been a topic on this list here lately.
According to Rosedale, 'Low triglycerides are generally a marker that you
are metabolizing fat efficiently, and in all likelihood you have an easier
time burning fat as your primary fuel, and that insulin and leptin are
working well in your body".

I know he doesn't say that low triglycerides are a definite indication that
one is not insulin or leptin resitant, but my triglycerides have been this
low for about 8 or 9 years now. In this time span I have been eating
anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. of meat (or chicken, fish, ostrich, lamb,
etc.) per day. If his theory is correct that even too much protein can cause
leptin or insulin resistance than I would think my triglycerides levels
would have indicated that by now?

On a different note, I lifted weights that morning before getting my blood
drawn. Would that have any effect on the levels?
