I don't have figures, either.  But look at food labels.  They often say 'may
contain peanut oil' even when peanuts and peanut oil are not ingredients.
This is to avoid a lawsuit from someone allergic to peanuts.  I also remeber
reading one airline stopped serving peanuts after too many in-flight
allergic reactions.  I don't remember the source, sorry, but I think that
assumption is correct.
